How many women are in a travel group?
That depends on the travel destination. Our Savory City Tours or White Mountains Adventure may have between 15 – 20 guests and our St. John or Sedona trips may have 8-12 guests. No matter the size, we will have a great time and you will meet new friends!
What are the age ranges of the women?
We may have women of all ages and all are welcome, but generally, due to the type of activity travel we lead, we usually see active women between the ages of 30 – 60 years old. Again, all are welcome.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, we ask that our travelers be at least 21 years old.
How physically fit do I need to be?
You will want to be in reasonably good shape. If you can walk two miles, then you are in the kind of shape to safely and comfortably navigate our excursions.

Do I need a deposit to reserve a trip?
Yes, for trips under $1,000, we require full payment at time of signup. For those over $1,000, we ask for 50% at time of sign up and 50% 45 days before the departure date. Our guidelines are the same as those our vendors use which require payments well in advance and have strict cancellation policies.
Does Tomgirl Tours have a cancellation policy?
Yes, our policy is outlined as follows:
- 45 days prior to travel – a 15% tour price processing fee is applied
- 44-31 Days – a 30% tour price processing fee is applied
- 30 days or less – No refund, but you can participate in another tour at 40% of the value of cancelled tour
Can I travel alone?
Yes, absolutely! That is one of the incredible benefits of a Tomgirl Tour. You can come alone, but you won’t be alone during your travel experiences. We encourage solo travelers to join us and you will meet new friends!
Can I book a tour for a group of people?
Yes! We sponsor trips for family reunions, bachelorette parties, corporate reward and recognition events, and girlfriend getaways. Call our toll free number for more information at 866.992.4990.
If I travel alone, do you provide room sharing?
Yes our price includes room sharing. We will match you up with another solo traveler on that specific tour. You wont' be spending much time in your room, though, with our exciting travel itineraries!
What’s included in the trip?
Our trips are all inclusive but viewing the specific trip you are interested in will provide detailed information. Tours generally include transportation to the location, all accommodations, local transportation, experienced tour guides and instructors, meals, activities, taxes, and gratuity. No hidden fees or surprises with Tomgirl Tours!
Do I need a passport to travel in St. John?
No, St. John is a U.S. Virgin Island and a passport is not required. We usually bring ours along as it’s good practice any time you are outside of the continental U.S.
